Only have had lunch there twice, both times excellent food, "best omelette aux cepes" I have ever had, why, beautifully soft to the palette really excellent, (Ramsey says that the ultimate test of a chef is if he/she can make an omellete), service is good and food is really good, not an extensive menu, try it for yourself. End of August and seemingly every place to eat in Montbron had decided to close for their holidays together. Only this was open and it seemed more like a bar than somewhere to eat. It's save for a handful of drinkers...but the...lights went on for me...I was asked what I wanted to eat...we settled on pate followed by Toulouse sausages. Both were really excellent. The pate coarse and garlicky (and the accompanying bread top class). Sausages char-grilled, and served with big mounds of mashed potato and green beans. (So large, it defied my appetite to finish). Couple of glasses of chilled rose went down a treat. Le Patron friendly and accommodating ditto the chef (who also did the waiting). All in all a really good and unexpected treat, which rescued an otherwise dismal evening. Who knows if it's always this good main thing was it really delivered for me.

This is a restaurant in the centre of Montbron. The service was very good, and the restaurant was clean. The food was very basic.
Great meal out (went twice!) as we we're staying in Kamloops nearby (could walk easily from the Marriott) Staff were great, place a bit noisy on Monday, as
Ok if you are in a hotel close by and want to watch sports. Staff is friendly but the beer options are non existent. All factory beer. Food was decent.
