Caffe La Fortezza - Montalcino

Nice lunch on their terrace overlooking the castle. This is a large bar restaurant with entrances on two streets. It was a sunny day so we chose to eat on the terrace. Good menu for lunch. had the homemade pici. Pasta. Reasonably priced Good service

We stopped in for some late morning snack and coffee and the staff was extremely helpful in making suggestions for us. Becuase the day was beautiful, they suggested we eat outside and just across the street from the cafe. They quickly brought us our food and hot/tasty coffee and quietly enjoyed our morning snack with great views of the valley and surrounded by so much history. Highly recommend

Surprisingly, even though the caffe is situated at the heart of the touristic zone, the food they served was really tasty, unlike tupical food served in such areas. The wine we bought to accompany our lunch was burrello, one that the waiter recommended it was excellent and the price was decent.

Stop for a coffee during our visit to montalcino and back to have lunch. very nice and clean bar. great for a quick stop, the menu offers both degotations and cutters. they have both seat inside and outside that I have to say deserves for the panorama. the staff is very kind and competent.
