Everyone in the group left here v... read more Has to do a quick stop for lunch. Fish and chips, poutine, mussels, wings, phili sandwich, chowder and wings were all ordered. Everyone in the group left here very satisfied and had complimented everything they had. Service was good w added staffing at an 'off hour' to ensure good service.

While all of PEI is famous for potatoes, the Millstone Grill makes the best french fries in PEI. I drive 40 minutes with my husband just for their fries.We love their wings, stuffed potato skins, stir-fries and old fashioned hot roast beef sandwiches. But you have to put their fries on your bucket list!I read the negative review from a woman from S Florida. I wonder how I could never have had anything other than incredible food and service here and she claimed to have had so many problems.No accounting for taste.Trust me. Eat here, then wait three hours and eat here again. Sleep. Repeat. Lol

S... read more I left home in S FL in mid April for the summer in my motor home and have traveled up the east coast and now into PEI. I have dined out at least once per day. So on Father's Day I asked the campground operator, as I usually do, where to go for dinner and this Grill was recommended. I got there @ 6pm and the sign out front proclaimed their special Fathers Day Buffet. I went in and should have gone with my gut when I was shown to my table and the hostess/co owner, with her hand, swept off a half eaten cookie from the table top. Was told the buffet was the only thing being offered and it was $18.95 and that sounded OK with me. The buffet consisted of some tables pushed together around the cash register with some servo pans. The stainless salad bowl had about a dozen pieces of salad stuck to the bottom with more stainless showing than green and what was green was badly wilted. Pass. Servo with mashed potatoes, edible but no gravy or butter of any sort. A bowl of baked beans - best item on the buffet. 3 choices of ribs - tex mex, sweet and a 3rd which sign was illegible. But not one rib! Not one! Sauce covered the pan bottoms and there were a few small pieces of scraps floating in the sauce. The carved meat - what can I say - there was a 3" piece of roast (a kind word) beef from which a kid (called by the co owner from visiting with friends at a corner table) carved 2 lean slices. This meat was dried out beyond belief. I was sorry that I wore sneakers since I was looking enviously at other's shoe leather as a good alternative. I tasted everything and it was a number of steps below the worst fast food you've ever had. I went back a got some more baked beans for my dinner. Maybe dessert is what they were famous for? Not! There was a serving tray with one (tiny) cupcake and 4 cookies. Took the lone cupcake one the theory 'how do you screwup a cupcake?' They managed. My departed wife would have been so proud of the restraint I've learned in the past 5 yrs, may she RIP. The other co owner came out of the kitchen and stopped at my table and observing my tiny cupcake dessert asked if I wanted a cookie too. I declined and he noticed that the offering was pretty sparse. He went into the kitchen and came back out with a cookie tin which he opened to show 5 'butter something or other' (baked pie dough with a dollop of Carmel type filling) and insisted I have one. He tried! Which is more than his wife did. I did mention the quality/quantity issues to him when I paid, which he acknowledged but excused by saying that they close @ 7 pmSo why not go elsewhere? Only game open on Fathers Day Sunday afternoon. The town should be ashamed of making this kind of a first impression to a PEI visitor!

We went to dinner on a week night and were informed that there were no pizza or fried chicken. there were many other possibilities, such as burger, fish and chi... read more We went to dinner on a week night and were informed that there were no pizza or fried chicken. there were many other possibilities, such as burger, fish and chips, and the usual family restaurant choices. that was in order, nothing. the ordinary. the decoration is minimal; only a handful of tables in front of the counter. service was also nothing from the ordinary. in murray river there are no restaurant choices. our two top selections were already closed at 19 o'clock, and we were too tired to drive 10 miles to find something else. in a prise this will do.
