Been here several times. This is our fourth visit to Mint Dore and our 7th time to this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The guys had the fillet steak, cooked to perfection (medium). I had the lamb steak also medium and it was gorgeous. Lovely banter with the owner who cooks on the open grill in the restaurant and the waiting staff very friendly too. Highly recommend.
Recommended by the hotel receptionist the steaks were among best we have ever tasted. Flamed overwhelmed open fire they could be cut with a fork. My wife's accompaniment was a local cheese based form of grompererkickelscheid which she scored and immediately got the recipe. Unfortunately it needs the local cheese.
Fouth time visiting in the last 3 years. Food always lovely. Hubbie and son had steak cooked to perfection. I had lamb, again perfect but we did ask for all cooking French style. English meat is cooked more. When busy the two i assume brothers seem stressed. When quiet they are fab company and will do anything for you. They speak good English and try with your French!! Not a quick turn around restaurant. You are there for the night which is nice.
After a good hike on the day, we wanted a beautiful piece of beef. hosts limit, unpleasant waiter it is of the plate throw on table. the taste of the products is good but know that if you take a menu you will not have what is described on the map. weight of the meat fake amount of derisory vegetable dessert immangeable no taste a horror, the bread is of the brief eve either you slam 120 euros to two and it will not be too bad but for 60 euros to two drop to go to buffalo or something like that.
