**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag of Promising Atmosphere and Dismal Service** Nestled in a charming neighborhood, this restaurant has historically enchanted diners with its delectable pizza and warm ambiance. However, recent visits reveal a troubling decline in service and quality. Customers report sluggish new staff, unkempt surroundings, and underwhelming dishes, including burnt and soggy pizzas. While many appreciate the creative pizza customization and friendly interactions with certain employees, the overall experience has suffered due to poor staff training and management oversight. With urgent improvements needed, loyal patrons hope for regeneration to restore this eatery's reputation before it loses its dedicated clientele.
I truly enjoy the food and the staff at this restaurant! The atmosphere is always clean and vibrant. During my lunch visit, I found the prices to be between $10 and $20 per person. I would give the food a perfect 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5 as well. I highly recommend trying the Great White Pizza!
I love the atmosphere and food here! My kids adore the pizza and the variety of options, plus the fact that they get to make their own pies is fantastic! The staff behind the counter really create a warm and welcoming experience. As a small town, they truly maintain that friendly vibe. Thank you!
We found this very inconsiderate, but assumed it would only be for a few minutes to handle a couple of pizzas. Instead, we watched as they made 14 pizzas, with the entire staff ignoring both us and the growing line that stretched to the outside door, all while catering to online orders for 45 minutes. By the time we finally received our pizzas, we had been in the store for nearly two hours. When we got our pizzas, every single one was burnt black on the bottom. We ate what we could and left, knowing it would be a long time before we returned, a sentiment I'm sure was shared by others who were there last night. In my opinion, with eight employees behind the counter, they didn't need to focus solely on online orders; they could have balanced the workload and served all customers effectively.
My family has been dining at this restaurant since it first opened, and we've always enjoyed excellent food and great service. However, during our last two visits, the experience has been disappointing due to a completely new staff. I’m not sure who trained the new hires, but they seem to operate in slow motion, and there appears to be a lack of leadership and communication among them. They spent a lot of time just standing around. While I appreciate the option for extra toppings, too many can result in a pizza that is undercooked and soggy. Additionally, the gelato was unappetizing; it melted into a soupy mess, and when I inquired about it, the staff looked at me as if I were in the wrong for asking. I really hope they can get things back on track, or they risk losing many loyal customers.
As a former manager at a Your Pie, I know firsthand that service shouldn't take this long. I could efficiently manage the line myself in under 20 minutes. If corporate were to assess this location, I believe it would be necessary to close it temporarily for a complete staff training overhaul. There needs to be a serious reevaluation of staff expectations. However, I don't want to place all the blame on management; ownership is also accountable. As the owner, you should be embarrassed. You have a fantastic location with great potential for establishing a strong reputation, yet it seems like you are not fully capitalizing on that. Proper training for both management and staff is essential. Corporate offers the resources—don't hesitate to ask for them! The lack of cleanliness, poor attentiveness, and overall disappointing experience were noticeable. It may be advisable to consider a temporary closure to conduct proper training for your staff. Don’t just throw a new employee in without making sure they know how to make the pizzas and manage the line. It's time to wake up and implement some changes, or you risk failure. Just having a prime location doesn't guarantee business success.
