Description
Located in Monroe, this restaurant has received mixed reviews from diners. Some rave about the baked oysters, while others feel that the food is not quite worth the price. The historic building adds to the charm of the dining experience, with attentive service and good portion sizes. Some diners had minor complaints about burnt creme brulee or forgotten dishes, but overall, the atmosphere and food quality were praised. The menu is mostly seafood-based, as expected in Louisiana, and the restaurant offers valet parking. The appetizer and two entrees were delicious and eye appealing. The service was excellent. We split a piece of strawberry cheesecake for dessert. We both thought it tasted odd and unlike cheesecake, and not in a good way. That was my only negative.Everything else was fantastic, and we enjoyed listening to the young man play piano. Photo is of the duck wrap appetizer. Thiswas soooo delicious!
Service and food was great. Only complaint is the creme brulee was a little too burnt on top. The watermelon margarita was really good, and I wasn't expecting that many fried green tomatoes. Had enough to feed our table of 3. The picture I have isafter we had already started eating them. Redfish over grits was very flavorful. Came with two big pieces of fish. I could onlyfinish 1. So Great portions sizes. Look to dining here again when I'm back in the area.
We wanted to eat some cajun cooking and found this place. Menu has plenty of dish to choose from. The staff are real nice and friendly. Quick service with some class. Presentation of the food is awesome. Large portion of my Gumbo. Highly recommendedplace.
We love the Catfish. They have music on Friday and Saturday night. Upscale seafood and drinks.
