What Neal Brooks doesn't like about Turner Hall Ratskeller:
Definitely a true Swiss motif but the Schnitzel was very disappointing. We tried two different options, one chicken and one pork. The pork was bland and the panko breading tasted dry and overcooked. The chicken also was about same. The one positive was the red wine. Sorry, but better off eating in New Glarus. View all feedback.
Great to be back for dinner since before the pandemic! Service was terrific. Food fine. Accordion player a nice addition! Only negative was it so so bright in there it was like eating in a mess hall. Our server said the lights do not dim! What!!
Swiss/German traditional style cuisine. Amazing Friday Night Fish Fry as well. Plenty of options for kids and those seeking a burger and fries. Prime Rib on Saturdays. Great selection of local brews and a full bar if you like a brandy/whiskey old fashioned(highly recommend!! They make em just right!)Plenty of seating to accommodate a small or large party. Call ahead to see what's available as it can fill up quickly!Parking: Parking can be hard to get as it is hit or miss depending on customer flow. There is plenty of free street parking within walking distance. It's also 2 blocks away from Monroes historic downtown square.
This was a delightful place for a family meal. Would definately go again.

Excellent fish. Staff was very friendly. Decent prices. Room was a little loud/echoed. Food took a little longer than expected but overall really good.
