This restaurant was such a great find! Right off the interstate with the best view. We opted to wait for an outside table and it was definitely worth the wait. Of course you can expect great southern hospitality, fast and friendly service. The kids order fried catfish which they gobbled down and my husband and I shared the seafood platter. My favorite part was the soup and the seafood pie. But everything was delicious so its hard to really pick a favorite. I also enjoyed the side salad-cesar. The dressing was very fresh and tasted house made which is more uncommon for Cesar. If you are in the area please make time to stop by this jem!
Wonderful unassuming restaurant but with delicious dishes filled with rich cajun flavor! We stumbled on this gem of a restaurant as we drove through Louisiana last August. We had a table with an nice view of the river and had a wonderful cajun lunch. I love cajun food and just had to stop here going through Louisiana. Highly recommend!
Delicious! Saw the sign off of i20 and when we pulled up we almost didn’t go in but the pictures looked to good to pass up! They did not disappoint! Good food highly recommend sitting outside and enjoying the view!
We have been to Trapp's several times when traveling through Monroe for work. We love everything we've had! This time we got the seafood stuffed spud and it was delicious! The gumbo is excellent too! The bread pudding is off the chart delicious as well.
Eaten here twice, once at the bar and once on their riverfront patio, which was beautiful. We started with the fried crawfish tail appetizer, the had the steak dinner for 2 special. The steak was seasoned well, cooked to order, and served promptly. Good beers on tap as well. If you’re in the area definitely worth seeking out.
Nestled by the riverside, this charming restaurant offers a delightful escape for diners, complete with stunning views and a warm atmosphere. Although initial impressions may be marred by surrounding road construction, the mouthwatering food and attentive service quickly redeem the experience. Guests rave about the fried shrimp, seafood nachos, and unique dishes like the smothered catfish etouffee. While some items fall short—particularly the jambalaya and certain appetizers—the overall culinary offerings shine. With reasonable prices and a casual vibe, this gem is worth a visit, especially for those seeking authentic Cajun cuisine amid southern hospitality.

We were tourists passing through and have found our home at Trapps. The river rainbow was a sure sign of it. The Cajun cuisine was perfect and if you happen to be there when the amazing Gracia is serving, you will NOT be disappointed. The live music wasdelightful while sitting on the deck.

As visitors passing through, we found our new favorite place at Trapp's. The stunning rainbow over the river seemed like a sign we were meant to be there. The Cajun dishes were outstanding, and if you get the chance to be served by the amazing Gracia, you’re in for a treat. The live music enhanced the atmosphere, making our time on the deck genuinely enjoyable.
