Service is excellent. These are nice and friendly staff. I like it's hidden and not everyone knows about this little jewel. I liked it when it was the Dashing Dutchman and I like it now. Sandwiches, soup, house salad with super dressing paired with good company and a hot cup of espresso, yes please. Nothing better on a cold winter day. Every day for this matter. So nothing was subpar and the soup was excellent. Order online for delivery, lasted almost 1.5 hours to reach us. Had to call to find out the soup because site says only soup 1 or soup 2... and it took a long time for someone to answer the phone because they were busy. 2 salads 3 sandwiches plus tax/tip/delivery... $83, pretty steep. Quality was good. The salads were quite large and fresh. Sandwiches were good, but not great. I had the famous 12 miles of Rueben and had high hopes. It was good, but I had better (only not available in Monroe)... could have used more meat. Anyway, the surprise of the food was my soup that came with my sandwich. Mulligatawny... it was excellent. Overall best sandwich shop I found in Monroe, but be ready to wait for delivery and it is not cheap in any way.
I enjoyed the club sandwich. The ingredients were high quality and generously portioned. I would have preferred that the bread was roasted, but the fact that they do not contain a club in the club sandwich. It would have been too much. The Cheddar cheese soup was fantastic. Service was fast and friendly. I feel I have a good value for my money. The sandwiches are something on the expensive side compared to other locations, but I left the restaurant much more satisfied.
My son, my friend and I came here at noon on Thursday afternoon. It was our first time and we were very happy. I'm surprised it wasn't super busy because the food was excellent. Your menu has a selection of salads, hot and cold sandwiches and soups as well as unique soda and various coffees. The atmosphere was friendly and cool with large staff who welcome you. We agreed to come here more often.
I had the tangy turkey and tomato basil soup it was absolutely delicious. My husband had the chicken pesto panini and he also enjoyed it. Both sandwiches with sides came under 30 bucks ! Staff was very nice and accommodating. Will be back for sure.
