What Peter Armstrong doesn't like about Taste Of India:
Horrible food. Asked for chilli chicken spicy, gave me a ghee roasted chicken. Asked for chicken 65, gave a dry nasty tasting sauce on chicken. Dnt even bother ordering food here. The order is never correct. View all feedback.
Wow. This is my favorite restaurant in town. I've been to several different Indian restaurants in LA, TX, and AR, and this little, yet elegant restaurant in Monroe is the best I have been to. The servers are very nice and the owner is friendly and kind. Today I left my wallet after eating a delicious lunch, and he would have allowed me to pay the restaurant back upon my next visit, but swiftly went home to get my wallet and pay this establishment because that's the kind of person I am. I am loyal to this restaurant and eat there at least 1-2 times a week. I highly recommend the gobi manchurian.
Great food. Definitely different from anything else in Monroe area. Helpful staff and even a small market on site.
They have a great variety of Indian food that tastes very good. Some things can be improved, but overall it's a good place to dine at. They are fairly priced and you will get your money's worth for sure. They also have a good grocery collection. The staff is friendly too.
Eat as a house and price like nizza.! loved the place and the staff.
First time back since the pandemic. New servers are much slower and it was clear that many guests were impatient with the new waitstaff. However they were friendly and made sure we were taken care of and suggested delicious sides despite a mild language barrier. Tonight we had the Goat Biryani and the Lamb Tikka Masala. Safe choices but the food was as wonderful as I remember especially the Lamb which was definitely higher quality than before. Appetizers were the Mango Chicken and Fish Pakora. I almost always choose the Mango Chicken as it has almost a nostalgic taste and it was even more powerful this evening. The Fish Pakora was also delicious last time ive tried such a dish in Jackson it was greasy ans the fish was undercooked. Here however the fish was perfectly cooked and the clean taste paired wonderfully with the seasonings. No dessert nor drinks. 5/5 a wonderful experience still.
