Lalima's Bakery - Monroe

The food may be decent, but the prices for the cookies are ridiculous. I bought a small tray of cookies weighing a total of 1.88 lbs, and it cost me $33.84. The tray was just an 8-inch round. I've attached two photos: one of the tray of cookies and the other of the receipt.

This bakery is fantastic! I ordered a farewell cake for a friend, and Randi was incredibly helpful in providing suggestions for the design. Most importantly, the cake was DELICIOUS. We chose vanilla and chocolate layers with cannoli cream filling. They also bake their own bread and offer a variety of pastries; I can’t wait to go back and try more!

This place was on my travels and was glad to find it! If you are near this place it is a must stop. Wonderful people and wonderful food! Love it!

I was looking through GrubHub one afternoon to find something to bring to an office event that I wouldn't have to go and get because admittedly I am extremely lazy. Searching Bakeries and these nice folks showed up, so I placed an order for a bunch of cannolis. An hour later I realized GrubHub doesn't notify the restaurant until about an hour before the order needs to be delivered, and with a fairly large order that would be unfair to them to be suddenly hit with this order, so I contacted them through Google's messaging service to give them a heads up. They were incredibly friendly and, having never worked through GrubHub before neither one of us had any idea how this would work out. To make a long story short the order arrived at my door without issue and let me tell you If there is a heaven after this life then this is what the cannolis taste like. they are well worth the price and if you are in the market for a good cannoli then this should be your go-to if you are in the area.
