I typically order the catfish plate with the salad bar. It comes with two small, but very tasty hush puppies and a small bowl of delicious beans.
Gross! Not seasoned well. Fried fish fillets we fish sticks. Beans needed seasoning. Baked fish and green beans were seasoned. Bread had a tiny speck of butter in the middle and not toasted completely.
I will never return to this restaurant! My husband and I decided to take our Pre-K graduate out for a meal, especially since she loves salad. We thought she would enjoy the addition of the bite-sized shrimp to her kids' meal, but what a disaster! The fish strips were overcooked and tasted like unseasoned gristle. The fries were bland and had a cardboard-like texture. The small shrimp had their batter falling off as soon as you picked them up—definitely not something you'd want to dip. Surprisingly, the salad was the only decent part of the entire meal. It's unbelievable that in Monroe, Louisiana, someone can't even make a simple bucket of sweet tea! The total bill for two adults and two kids (ages 5 and 3) came to around $90, which feels excessive for what we received. Although our server was great and provided excellent service, we won't be coming back.
