Just delightful little restaurant. Easy going interior, great owner's dog lying on the floor. Benoit in the kitchen, Aurore serving. Food is just excellent for real beautiful food lovers with no Michelin star wishes. We had pumpkin soup which ended with a bouillon with red wine (to clear your plate , followed by sauteed mushrooms in broth and rice pudding with orange fruit and a little bit of home made dark chocolate... What Bertrand Champagne doesn't like about Le Croquant:
We ate in a lot of great restaurants in France. This wasn't one of them. Had lunch here just before the 2 pm closing time because the review was better than the restaurant on the square. If this was the better of the two I am glad we didn't eat there View all feedback.
Bemoit and Aurora at le croquant served us the most amazing christmas lunch today The menu is based on traditional seasonal and locally produced produce as are all of their daily menus. They are passionate about what they produce and their knowledge of the culinary art is amazing. I can heartily recommend to any one living around Monpazier or visiting this beautiful bastide to stroll down and enjoy fabulous food. Many thanks to you both for a memorable noel.
We had crepes here a couple of times. The service was fast and very friendly. It is very near the main square and very convenient for lunch away from the bustle

The magret was good, a shame the sauce was cold! The servers are nice and smiling.
The reception reserved by staff is user-friendly and efficient service. However, some dishes were rather frades and the salad was plunged into the dressing... damage. The terrace was rowed and the blind folded while the guests were in the middle of the dinner. Not very pleasant to eat during a move... However, the map can satisfy the largest number and remains accessible.
