We visited for a birthday celebration, and everything was fantastic! The food and service were excellent. Most of us ordered hibachi, and the chef was entertaining, attentive, and friendly. We will definitely return soon! Food: 5/5 View all feedback.
What Ashley doesn't like about Edo Garden Japanese:
The waitress was good but we were there for 90 minutes for 4 rolls and 4 tables. Took way too long. Then the rolls weren’t even right she was adding things that weren't listed like avocado so my husband wouldn’t eat it. The waitress basically said sorry I can’t say anything to her she doesn’t speak English… and then gave us a full bill for 3 uneaten rolls. There is better and cheaper sushi around Madison. Avoid this restaurant at all costs! We only went here because Fuji, which is far superior, didn’t take reservations. On top of that, our orders got mixed up, the sodas tasted entirely different from one another, and we had to repeatedly ask for items we ordered but never received. The soup was unpleasant, the salad had water pooling at the bottom, and the place had the ambiance of a low-budget Chinese takeout restaurant. Please consider dining somewhere else!
**Meal Type:** Dinner **Price per Person:** $20–30 **Food Rating:** ★★★★★ **Service Rating:** ★★★★★ **Atmosphere Rating:** ★★★★★ **Recommended Dish:** Chicken Hibachi I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The Chicken Hibachi was exceptional and truly stood out. The food was delicious, and I would give it a perfect five-star rating. The service was equally impressive, with attentive staff who made us feel welcome throughout our meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing dinner. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great meal!
I always enjoy visiting this place! TJ is an incredible chef! The filet and scallops hibachi dinner was fresh and delicious on a Tuesday evening. I highly recommend it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
One of the most depressing restaurants I've ever eaten in. Old, dirty, worn carpet, weirdly covered old chairs......no other patrons at noon. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Reminds me of a place where the owners are so used to being there they can't see what's right in front of their eyes. Food was average. I didn't eat the sushi that came with my order (tasted less than freshly made), but the rest was ok.
My sister and I went in on a slow night so I don't know how they do under pressure but the hibachi experience was fun and the food was delicious and everyone was super friendly and OMG their sauces! Sooooo good. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
