The Olway Inn - Monmouthshire

The Olway Inn is a charming hotel located just outside the village of Usk. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is conveniently close to the M4 motorway. Usk is a quaint market town.

Had a fantastic stay here recently. Rooms were very cosy, clean, and reasonably priced. Food is great, honest, Welsh pub grub that is reasonably priced and well portioned. Nicola and Matt were superb hosts, very welcoming and hospitable. Will definitely stay here again if we're ever passing through Usk! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Have definitely found my new favourite place for a lovely homemade Sunday lunch Had lamb and the meat was absolutely stunning. huge portions. A lovely warm cosy pub, lovely atmosphere and the staff are all lovely nothing too much trouble at all. would highly recommend and will definitely be a regular now. thank you ever so much.

New owners thought we would try Sunday lunch. No menu available , had to wait until staff came to the table. Asked for menu, told that they would read it out to us. No Carvery available despite FB advertising saying that it was. Apparently, three weeks later still not available) Food was served quickly. Obviously prepped in advance and microwaved. The vegetables were like molten lava outside , yet cold inside. Meat was still at fridge chilled temperature. Having finished eating , we were ignored for twenty minutes whilst staff argued among themselves , whilst stood at the bar, about the Till, which seemed to be malfunctioning. No dessert menu offered . Eventually after 25 mins sat with dirty plates in front of us we paid the bill and left . Understanding that you are new proprietors, you have some serious competition within the Usk area. You simply have to up your game.
