The Old Nags Head - Monmouth

I work all over the country and if I'm in the far away of this pub, I'll stay overnight in monmouth. found the old nags 5 years ago and was in several times with my buddy. always made to feel welcome and some local ask even where we have been when his one was since I visited. it's a great, good old fashion pub. Unfortunately, I hear that it was bought by marstons! what a waste. brains bitter is one of the best. marstons. please do not spoil this pub by pulling it out and seeing it as trendy location. it does not need it. that is a real pub where they meet people, drink real beer and have a laugh and have a sweat. if I could buy the load, I would. until soon. wayne (nottingham)

What a great find. Made our two Vizslas and ourselves very welcome. Delightful courtyard garden and lovely pint of Pedigree (well, two! and big thanks to one of the locals, Nick, for helping sort a taxi back to our campsite! Look forward to calling in again!

Just popped up to Monmouthshire for the weekend, good old-fashioned public house friendly barman good beer missed out on a pint of Wainwright hope it will be on tap next.

Visited this pub with a group of friends whilst staying in Monmouth for the night. Staff were very friendly and reasonable prices for the drinks on offer. As we were a large group we tried to keep ourselves to one section rather than encroaching on the regular punters. Staff were very happy to have us which was nice compared to other areas. Would recommend this venue if you are in the area and want a nice place to relax and have a drink
