Seaway Chip Shop - Monifieth

Oh dear oh dear.What's happened to this chip shop. Just had take away and what a rip off. 4 burned fritters and an over cooked 1/2 smoked sausage £6:00 , Two small Sausages and a small amount of chips £6:70 On a positive note 2 Fish Suppers which were very nice but £9:70 each . Doubt I will return. Used to be such good food and value for money.

Great atmosphere with friendly service and delicious food at reasonable prices. I would have given it 5 stars, but I ordered the Fritter on a Roll and was surprised to find that it only came with one fritter. Each fritter was 60p, and the roll was £1.50, so I expected two fritters. I was disappointed when I got home, which is quite a distance away, only to find just one fritter. It's the most expensive roll I've ever had at 90p! The rest of my family's orders were good, though.

Terrible experience. It was my first visit, and I definitely won't be returning. The fish was overcooked, and the batter was burnt. As for the fritters, I could barely find any potato—if there was any, it must have been sliced exceptionally thin—just burnt batter. Additionally, half of my order was missing, even though I was charged for it. Save your money and avoid this place.

Amazing! I used to visit this place with my parents when I was a kid. It had been way too long since my last visit, and the fish and chips were just as delicious as I remembered. The staff is always friendly, and everything is prepared incredibly fresh.

Just the best fish and chips ever, staff are fantastic, chicken in batter is a speciality worth travelling for, don't forget to try the fritters.
