Just returned from a two night stay at this hotel as we were visiting a local chateau where our daughter will be getting married later in the year. The hotel is under new ownership (Rosa and Guy Ehret and the current owner has put a lot of effort into creating a really interesting place to stay. We arrived late on Saturday due to flight delays, but this was no problem and we were soon made welcome in the dining room. Dinner was a fixed price 33 Euros and consisted of 7 (I think! courses, some small, some large, all excellent. Guy smokes his own duck and salmon and does the cooking, There is no menu and you get what you're given, but I think this is all part of the fun. Aperitif, wine food, digestif and coffee all included. Bedrooms were all new and to a good standard. When we left Guy and Rosa stood on the door step and waved us off, a really nice touch, they deserve to do well.

Weekday, upstairs, for our Association of like minded members to enjoy the company and discuss affairs of the day. The restaurant downstairs was full so we expected less than prompt service! However it went well and it was sensible of the staff to give us a buffet choice to start with and this spread was generous, well presented and delicious. Service for the other courses was hand of waitress for some 40 odd (some very odd! lunchers and continued well. The local Cahors carafe wine was fine and the ambience allowed easy talk without excessive noise levels. Coffee included, the price was modeste for what we enjoyed
