Actually I was supposed to have dinner elsewhere, but since that one was closed zeroed on this one while walking nearby. Vitigno doesnt disappoint you, it's a family run diner and hosts were happy n pleasant. Ordered ham n Burrata which was really yummy followed by their best yellow pasta with topped burrata. Nice m fresh food, recommended !
This was an interesting experience. First and foremost it is a wine bar that also serves food. The wines we tasted were good and served at a reasonable price. Particularly interesting was the locally popular drink that combines wines, soda water, and an aperitif. Unfortunately I forgot the name but almost everyone ordered it, frequently as a drink before switching to wine. The food can best be described as snacks that go well with wine. We had a selection of meats served with either bread sticks or baguette slices. It made for a very enjoyable evening which will be repeated.
The place looks very good, the owner knows how to do with customers and this represents a force. the kitchen, although a little expensive, is really appreciable. a little disappointment on the proposal of wines and above all the lack of knowledge on the part of the waiters on the types of wines. I hope to return and perhaps find more prepared staff.
I'm often in Monfalcone for work and I found this place by chance. The owner is incredibly welcoming and makes you feel right at home. The food is a mix of fabulous southern and northern dishes, but the orecchiette con le turnips are a cut above.
