Absolutely FANTASTIC! I had since the last time I went to Louisiana (even then it's close). We will definitely come back, often. Shrimp and Grotte were the star of the night for me. Jumbalaya tasted great with a little smokiness. Alligator was cooked for perfection and the dough was so seasoned. Meat cakes were tasty and the dough was super fluffy. Absolutely FANTASTIC! It had been too long since my last visit to Louisiana, and this place brought back those great memories. We will definitely be coming back often. The shrimp and grits were the highlight of the evening for me. The jambalaya had a wonderful smoky flavor. The alligator was cooked to perfection, and the batter was well-seasoned. The meat cakes were delicious and the batter was incredibly fluffy. The gumbo was hearty and flavorful as well. The staff was attentive and friendly throughout our meal.
I really enjoyed the food and the ambiance at this restaurant. They were out of some items, but we arrived quite late. The prices were reasonable – I thought the mixed drink was fantastic, though a bit pricey. The food we ordered was outstanding. The okra was unlike anything I've ever had before; it was the best I've tasted. However, the batter on my shrimp and alligator was a bit too salty for my liking. Overall, we had a great time and I’m eager to return to try more dishes. And I must mention, the fried cucumbers were delicious!
Excellent service and delicious food! While this restaurant isn't cheap, it offers fantastic Cajun cuisine. Keep in mind that, like much Cajun cooking, a lot of the dishes are deep-fried. If you're focused on eating the healthiest options, this might not be the place for you.
Great food and excellent service! Our waiter was so nice to our Kiddos and made great recommendations. We live about an hour from Monett, but want to cook shrimp for Saturday night. The catfish was in the square and my crustfish Etouffee was delicious.
Great food, friendly people, good atmosphere. Known for New Orleans style cuisine, but they also have the very Best steaks and prime rib I've eaten anywhere. I love this place! Very sad. This wonderful restaurant who's owner/chef and his staff always made you feel like family closed its doors at end of service last Saturday, 6/29/2019. Darren you are loved and missed.
