No issues other than really looking forward to well reviewed chowder and they the chowder was still being made at our mealtime of 2pm. Perhaps a bit behind after the long weekend rush.

We even stopped in just before the dinner rush j... read more We stopped in here after being on the road for several hours because it was supposed to be a FAMILY restaurant! We even stopped in just before the dinner rush just encase. The restaurant was loud and we thought we would be okay there with kids. WRONG!! Boy were we EVER WRONG!Our waitress took our app order (which was amazing), the "manager" came over and it seemed like the was trying to take our table from our server- which we shot down quickly. As we waited for our waitress our 1.5year old was getting a little restless. In comes the "manager" again who looks at him and with the rudest tone I have EVER heard someone speak to a child says that we need to quite HIM down because SHE can't hear orders being taken. Our waitress comes back and takes our main order - as we are waiting we are getting more and more angry that someone would be SO RUDE to a 1.5year old who was tapping his tray (WHICH we STOPPED immediately) that we decided to leave our table and ask for our food to go. I went to the car with our 3year old (who was silent) and my husband stayed behind to talk to a manager.... surprise surprise it was the SAME lady that was extremely rude to us! She started giving up excuses and told my husband we should have taken our children outside while we waited for our food to come to the table - that they provided crayons and paper for a reason. He told her to go back to work as she looked like she didn't want to deal with the issue at hand. He brought me our 1.5year old to the car and went back in - apologised for being so angry at her - thinking this would help the situation - and she went into the kitchen and told the staff something (our only guess is not to do what she told them to do to our meal!) Then to come out and tell him that she was still right and we shouldn't have gone there. I'm sorry .... but THAT is NOT a manager. IF you want people to go and enjoy the great seafood that you have (because it was great) Staff members - especially MANAGER members should absolutely NOT treat customers like this- I have told everyone about our experience here and hope that not one steps foot in this establishment BASED on our experience!
