A really great dining experience from beginning to end. I came on a holiday during a down time. The hostess and waiter were exceptional and very accommodating. The small but delightful menu is on the pricier side but is well worth it. I had themushroom chicken and the gf had steak. I'll definitely be back and will recommend to my friends.
We went on a Saturday evening for my wife 's birthday with our family. We made a reservation through the website and followed up by phone to add another person. We really enjoyed our experience. The service was very good. It was prompt and efficient. Wehad cocktails to start. I had a mohito and my wife had the peach belinni. Both were very good. I had sea bass and my wife hadwagu meatloaf. The plates were beautifully presented and the food was delicious. Because we are managing our diets, this was anexception. But we did take care to look up the nutritional information first on Milestones ' website. I appreciated that allinformation for everything on their menu was available for download as a pdf. My sea bass entree was 980 calories and my wife 'smeatloaf was 1200. Full ingredients and allergen information is also included in the document. I ate my full entree and my wifetook on slice of the mealoaf home. We did not have appetizers or desert. My only possible concern is the portion size. Eachentree was quite large and was about $30. One improvement could be to reduce the serving sizes and prices and make it easier tohave an appetizer and possibly desert for a longer and even more enjoyable dining experience. However, this is nothing thatcan 't be resolved with a takeout container as a workaround. Still, I prefer dining in and having the benefit of the full diningexperience. I recommend Milestones and will return in the future.
I'll start of by saying Brunch was delicious, food was mostly done nicely (which deserves the stars) however 2/4 meals the eggs were cold and the plate was hot (which feels to us that it had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while). But you could tellthe place was understaffed. As we could see there was only 1 server and it took an hour to get our food. We witness otherpeople sitting after us and getting their food before us. After he dropped our food off, he rushed off and we had to stop himquickly to get a drink order and the drink didn't arrive until we were finished and ready to go. Lots of potential for thisplace but the service could use some work.
It was a mutual delight coming in from an unusually hot August day. The crisp clear cool air was an instant relief upon entering their front foyer. The attending host came to us quickly and escorted us to a pleasantly situated booth. While waiting for ourwaiter I was pleasantly surprised to find that I did not need to ask for a password to access their wifi. Once the waiter cameover and introduced himself as Peter, we placed our orders. It was convenient that he automatically brought us 2 iced glasses ofrefreshingly cold water. Pat, my wife, took delight in noting his name was the same as her brother. Peter smiled and noted thatwe 'd have, no trouble remembering his name then . Laughing, we agreed. I ordered the 1989 Burger and chose the side of Ceasarsalad. Pat asked for the Tai Basil Noodles. Both of us enjoyed our meals as prepared and Pat took extra satisfaction in knowingshe had more than enough left over to cover her dinner later on that night. Pat was a little saddened to learn that they nolonger give out Scene points. Peter noted that it had stopped shortly after Milestones had been taken over by a largerconglomerate. I do not recall his exact words but he did note that Milestones is still a Canadian company. ???? I notedinteresting items upon their walls. An intricate model plane that appeared ready for remote control once taken off the wall. Anice display of 4 (at least) older cameras on the far wall from us. In another room I noted a couple really beautiful paintingsupon the fronts of skateboards hung upon their walls. Overall pleasant experience at this Milestones. We both look forward tobeing back some future day.
The sides of our entrees left something to be desired. My wife's fries were Cole so we had to send those back. My pasta did not have a lot of flavour. Needed more pesto at least probably some more garlic? Her fish tacos those were spectacular. Ton offlavour and would recommend those. My two slices of chicken Parm were very tasty and recommend that as well. Good service andnice restaurant and location. Would return overall.
