We came here twice during our time in Monchique and enjoyed terrific views, food and service on both occasions. It is a family run business and all staff take great pride in what they do. It is very much a Portuguese experience, with hearty and rustic food, and excellent local wine; worth asking the staff for their recommendations for both they were not wrong! It is very cheap and the portions are generous. Over two meals between four of us we had the cod, peri peri chicken, house specialty pork and assadura a local delicacy or roast pork in a garlic source. All were delicious. The digestifs were a welcome addition and end to the evening.
This is a good place to enjoy some traditional Portuguese cuisine, while enjoying a gorgeous view on Portimão and its surroundings. The food is decent, especially if you take into account the prizes which are definitely very cheap. We had dinner here and returned the next day for a lunch. I do have to say most of the staff can't speak English, but they'll try their best to accommodate you and they have an English menu. I got the feeling this is a family run business, which is always nice. I have to warn you for the chicken with cherries. We enjoyed the dish very much, but all the onions did not agree with us afterwards. So maybe just choose another dish
Vistas inacreditáveis sobre a Serra de Monchique. A equipe foi adorável. 2x o menu turístico mais 1 café custou 38 €. O frango estava muito bom.
We took a simple menu, but it was the best piri-piri chicken we had in Algarve so far. The location is very beautiful, with a wonderful view to the valley till the ocean.
Sempre a mesma simpatia que eu vou para 20 anos nada mudou, especialidade cabrito, pena vale ir para a montanha e depois ir para o paraíso.
