One of the shining lights in the Ashburton area. The food is excellent and the presentation definitely tantalizes the taste buds. Excellent food, good atmosphere and friendly staff. A must do food experience. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Sweet Tamarind:
I normally love Sweet Tamarind after being a loyal diner for a number of years! The service has gone downhill and this has no doubt affected the food. We ordered The Crying Tiger which was served cold on arrival at our table. When I told the manager, I was greeted with a rude and a aggressive response from the girl that was standing beside her whom I was directing my conversation towards. I do not expect a great deal... Been 3 times now in 2 months. Always booked out. Amazing food. Every dish delicious. It my new hang out. Well done for amazing food.
Have been there many times..we also had birthday dinner for our daughter there 2 days ago .staff was very nice and polite. .they gave us table we asked for. .the place is clean and nice decor..food was yummy especially sweet tamarind prawns. .recommended! !!

Such a lovely neighbourhood thai restaurant this is. Lovely ambience, plenty of parking and tables were available without reservation. We ordered a whole bunch of starters and mains and they were all really good. The presentation in particular was spectacular. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
