One of the better Cantonese "home-cook" venues. "Home-Cook" here refers to the homes in Mainland China or in S E Asia, where Mum or Grandma does the cooking. It serves all the good porky bits - from nose to tail, and inside too - just my "cup of tea". Have been back several times for takeaways (pigs trotters, pigs ears, pigs intestines ... yummy!) What User doesn't like about Panpan's Kitchen Chinese Restaurant:
I like Chinese food, so I went into this place expecting to have a nice meal. I ordered potato, eggplant and green pepper. What came out was grossly overcooked eggplant to the degree it felt slimy. Similar with potato. But capsicum, on the other hand, was undercooked if not almost fresh.I ate very little and commented on that, but paid full price anyway. View all feedback.
I would rate this restaurant a four out of five. The food was good, though not excellent, and the service was a bit inconsistent.
The food was surprisingly good with very clean tastes and oil free. We had some of the best pork/chicken dumplings I've come across in a long time, Mongolian beef which came in a light sauce that was not overly sweet and heavy, Salt & Pepper Squid cooked in a crispy tempura style which again was excellent and special fried rice. The decor was a little uninviting and the restaurant was too cold and needed a heater turned on. Prices were standard, around $15 per dish. But the big disappointment was the staff who were the most unfriendliest I think I've ever come across. No greeting, in fact we found and sat at our own table - not a word when she brought us the menu or once we placed our order and not even a good bye/thank you. The only thing she mumbled to us throughout the evening was "56".... which was the bill... I would not normally talk about staff, but it was a truly weird experience.. Who knows - maybe you'd go just to experience the staff?

This restaurant is not up to par. It is clearly new and experiencing obvious issues as it gets started.
