This is our choice of Mexican restaurants in the Glen Waverley and Mount Waverley area. The dining room is light and bright, appropriately decorated and casual. The food choice is good, and quality is excellent. Ask for hot salsa to fire up your palate. The staff are suitably attentive without hovering, friendly and efficient. The wine list is quite small, but suitable for this cuisine. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Nachos Mexican Cantina:
I have been going here for a number years and always found the food to be good but not great. Noticed in recent times portion sizes have been reducing and that sometimes you can't taste the tequila in the frozen margarita. Accepted these things because we used their discount vouchers which evened things out but now this has been replaced with a frequent customer card which is of no meaningful value. Seems to me that... Before attending I had read a couple of mixed reviews, but I always like to give a place the benefit of the doubt. I know wish we could have picked another place to celebrate my mothers birthday. From arriving to the place and just being awkwardly greeted and being pointed to a section we were assigned too, I knew we were going to be in for an interesting night. - Waited close to 40-45 mins to get our meals, waited close to an hour for our final meal. (Made us wonder why so long, it seemed meals were microwaved. Extremely hot but food was warm)- mix up of meals, two waitress's both making passing comments that we were somehow in the wrong. - table of 12 and very squished seating, double checked prior to our arrival that this was going to be okay. Luckily one of our family members could not make it, Would have not known how we would have all fit.- service overall was fairly poor and waitresses seemed to be very annoyed.Unfortunately we will not return.

Seems to me that management are skimping and taking their customers for granted.
Been here fair few times, always seems to be expensive, food ok then again its not hard to muck up Mexican, some how its always bit pricey even with entertainment card
As we regularly visit family in this area, Nachos Cantina has become our go to restaurant for Mexican. The venue is clean and comfortable. It can be a little noisy when full. The food is great as are the frozen margaritas. The service is friendly and prompt.
