Bit of a first for us, cooking our own dumplings. Didn't know such places existed. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Dumplings Onboard:
Ate here last night- concept is good, but cooking your own (frozen) dumplings at your table is the highlight. The meals in the Bain Marie were warm, dry and not replenished in the 70 minutes we were there. Despite a bargain Scoopon voucher, I would not return. View all feedback.
A new dumpling place in Carnegie, yes, another option for dumplings, this time, it is dumpling buffet, what a novel idea! <br/ <br/ The kiddos enjoyed cooking their own dumplings, which is such a great way to encourage them to go for the healthier option then their beloved pan fried dumplings. Each tray comes in 6 so you can sample different flavours which is difficult in a regular dumpling place unless you are with a super large group. If you still prefer pan fried dumplings, you can still order them from the kitchen. <br/ <br/ Besides dumplings, they've also got other hot cold dishes served in buffet style (only the dumplings you've got to cook it yourself). We liked the honey chicken, mapo tofu, satay chicken, red bean pancake. The kiddos enjoyed the prawn crackers, jellies ice cream, all in price!
Dumplings Onboard on Koorang Road serves the best dumplings around. The dumpling skins are just right, and the filling is flavorful. Don't miss out on their delicious Shaanxi style noodle with pork. I highly recommend this restaurant!
On Thursdays (or Wednesdays, if I remember correctly) for lunch, the price is around $12, which is surprisingly good value considering you can eat a lot of food for one set price. There are a few things I really like about Dumplings Onboard. The dumplings are fresh and delicious, and there is a variety of food available. The staff are friendly, although it is mainly self-service. However, some of the hot food can be dry as it sits there. While some dishes are tasty, most of the time they are not amazing or high-end. Dumplings Onboard is unique because it is a buffet, unlike other restaurants in the area. Buffets always have their shortcomings, but the fact that there is a buffet option in the area is a positive. Overall, I recommend trying this place out.
A very unique way to eat dumplings. Dumplings are nice and the staff are so helpful and friendly. They even went extra miles to meet our requests.<br/ <br/
Our waitress was very friendly, very helpful, very keen. I say, ten out of ten for customer service. Red bean pancake was not as oily as some other places... so that's also a plus. This was a super cheap dinner!! So I can't really complain about anything :
