Was Bosiljka Bujandrić at Dumpling Workshop a mag?
We walked in on spec on a Sunday afternoon as we were in the area and had not had lunch. Fantastic choice as there are lots of eateries to choose from on this busy strip in Carnegie. All the usual dumplings done really well. Prompt , efficient service with lots to choose from and larger plates too. We left happy and with full tums in no time flat. Will be back ! What Thomas Stamm dislikes about Dumpling Workshop:
Yes sure it was Saturday night which is a busy night for restaurants although, our experience was very disappointing. We have been coming to this restaurant for years and we believe it has changed ownership. We had a reservation and was seated to our table...almost immediately. Then we waited, and waited, and caught someone’s attention to order. And then waited again. Our patience wore thin after waiting 30 minutes l... View all feedback.

I have now given the new owners a lot of opportunity to come with the takeover of a successful business, but unfortunately it is a bit of failure from customer perspective. during the ringing for the departure the phone is rarely answered. tonight I finished the order on uber eats, another mistake. the order was on pickup at 6:27 o'clock. I have a ready to pick up notification at 6:26pm! I was surprised and a little impressed. Unfortunately, I have been here for 25 minutes and not yet dinner. I'm not an eats driver, but I'm waiting here with two others, so maybe I'll make a friend? the 15 20 minutes waiting, from the order is now over 60 minutes. beyond hopeless. I need a new restaurant.
I love this place. they were there 5 or 6 times, always delicious (and cheap) eating. knödel are hearty, they are not the refined dim sum style, but proper dinners with tasty chicken and thicker baked. get the pan fried. the family loves. Chinese staples of spicy bark, chicken and sweet corn soup. but the desiccant cakes (prefabricated) are also delicious, even if they are at the more expensive end of the menu. can easily feed a family of 5 for $50! 5 stars for worth, and eating is very good (better than many of the other tilting restaurants in the same street.)
We came to the brunch (I know a strange place for brunch) with absolutely no one in there when we arrived. this was considered a little slower than they expected with only two people present. but as we do on this. service were friendly and courteous and attentive with everything that came as ordered. the crispy lemon chicken was amazingly aromatized, perhaps only a little too much of the sauce, as it made the chicken soggy to a hauch. the taste was ridiculously good with a fantastic crispy texture. the fried rice was immaculate, no more comments, except to say, perfect. the dumplings were the abandoned. they were quite over boiled and a bit gummy. total was the eating 7/10, service 8/10 decor, 10/10. beautiful place, beautiful staff. will definitely be back. thanks for a great meal.
Dumpling workshop has not powdered what I think is unusual overall I think it was a good place to lunch
The restaurant received mixed reviews from its customers. There were complaints about slow service, incorrect orders, and changes in the menu that were not well-received. Some patrons were unhappy with the lack of vegetarian options and the quality of the dishes they ordered. On the other hand, many customers praised the restaurant for its delicious food, extensive menu, reasonable prices, and accommodating staff. Overall, while there were some negative comments, the general consensus was that the food at the restaurant was enjoyable and worth trying.

Great food. We have had it delivered before but yesterday took the kids and they loved it. Probably the best dumplings we have had so far since coming to melbourne.
Excellent service, food amazing, price awesome, ambience noisy and everyone chatting and happy just perfect
First time eating there and the food was so delicious! The chicken and chives dumplings were the best I've ever had , the chinese sausage fried rice was so good too and I'm still dreaming of the moorish cucumber salad. They were really accomodating when we arrived and helped get my pram in a spot out of the way. There was a high chair set up for us and they are very child friendly. We are not locals, but will definitely be coming back for another amazing and very affordable meal.
