I have attended this particular premises and ordered a number of items such as hamburgers, fish chips dimi 's and other goodies. The fish was very well cooked as ware the hamburgers. The burgers were not oily or ran juices all over the place when you picked the up in your hand. The style of chips are what can be called steak chips and are well cooked and tasty. They are not the typical soggy chips that are available... View all feedback.
What Kim W doesn't like about At The Catch Carnegie:
What a rip off, was craving fish and chips, what I ordered and received was pathetic. I couldn't distinguish between the scallop and the fish cake, they were both the same size. The potato cake, crab stick and fish bite were a yucky soft batter, not crispy as I expected. Thought I would support a local business, not any more. I will source my fish and chip fix elsewhere. Absolutely disgusted with our experience whilst dining at this establishment. A business that has a kids menu high chair available but is intolerant to children if they have any big feelings that are audible. Yelled out from a staff member loudly and aggressively across the establishment “can you tell them to shut up....people are trying to eat here”. Happy to take my money for the meal my child couldn’t finish as we were made to feel intimidated, singled out and unwelcome. And left in haste. Not a word of apology from any of the many other staff in the establishment. Overall the burgers were average and the chicken nuggets were the common processed affair, chips were nice. But I would never recommend this establishment that treats its community with such contempt. And will obviously never spend our money supporting any business that speaks to customers the way we were. If staff had made any effort to come and speak with myself they would have seen that I was attempting to console my child and was wiping his face an hands down in preparation to leave so as not to further disrupt other diners. Upon which I would have asked for their food to be packed up to take with us. Instead of humiliating and intimidating a parent dining solo with two kids. The better way of approaching the situation would have been to actually approach myself, which you would have then seen I was preparing to leave and offer to pack our food up to take with. If you failed to notice that I was attempting to console and prepare to leave you could have kindly suggested that maybe he is having a tough time and in the interest of other diners comfort would it be ok to pack up our food to take home and enjoy. Basic kind customer service is not much to ask for. Especially given that we had not be rude or disrespectful to any one whilst in your establishment.

Gone are the days of the original fish chip shop, Now it's all trendy with salad (you don't make friends with salad). You have to pay for the cleanliness of the shop the freshness of the food, don't get me wrong it is very very good food good portions, I just miss the old days, I am sure the health inspector does too, The Catch is so clean you could eat off the floor, well done guys.

They are not the typical soggy chips that are available elsewhere. They are a decent size. The dimi 's were cooked deep fried but not burnt and hard. So overall they are the best I have had in a long time. Would recommend giving them a try. There is also an area where you can site and partake in your dinner if you wish to stay on premises. Maybe the hamburgers a tad pricey
Such a disappointing experience all round. Ordered dinner via Uber and they delivered us the an order which was not correct. When we called the Catch to sort it out, they offered no solution to rectify their issue. What we did receive we could not eat so will not be ordering from the again. Poor customer service.
