La Veranda Italian And Pizzeria

The best Italian restaurant in Mombasa! I went to La Veranda for the first time last night and our meal was amazing. We ordered the beef carpaccio for the starters, then for the net of grilled fish and lasagna. Although Tiramisu was really good, it seemed to have too much alcohol, which caused an imbalance in taste. Overall, amazing food and we will definitely be back here! And perfect ambience for an appointment!

Had the best experience of Italian cuisine in Nyali in La Veranda Restaurant. Fast service, great bread, wonderful pizza and fresh juice. I recommend Prosciutto E Funghi! Oven brick pizza in its finest. Our waiter was Elias Baya very friendly and fast! The ambience was calm and quiet. Five out of five for me. Must visit!

Alberto is a wonderful warm host. Makes you feel so welcome. Food is amazing. Best place for all kinds of Italian food. Many options for vegetarians and gluten free pastas. Friendly staff and a very clean place in these covid times. I love the place.

Great Italian Restaurant, this time we really enjoyed the Pizza

Ate here for the first time a couple of days ago. Food was ok,nothing spectacular,but not horrible either. The ambiance is also average with the restaurant looking much prettier from outside than inside. Having all the empty tables surrounding us didn't help with the atmosphere. It was clearly a slow night. Being a slow night I imagined or rather expected us to have very good service with the waiters full attention on us. Unfortunately this wasn't to be as most of the waiters decided to huddle to one side talking amongst themselves for most of the time we were there. And the waiters that weren't part of the huddle,chose to lean back and spend their evening on their phones. Not a single waiter or manager asked us how our evening was going or whether we needed anything. It was eat, pay and leave. I can honestly say it's one of the worst services I have ever received at a restaurant ever and just hope they are on the ball on the busier days. The beef carpaccio was the highlight of the meal with everything else being mediocre. Clearly the service was appalling and for that reason alone it is unlikely I will ever return.
