So special place,,,, so friendly, so amazing Homefood, wine, beer etc... I just love this place! and truly recommended!
We popped in for an icecream today, then stayed for a coffee, then lunch as it looked so good. We picked lasagne and it was delicious, served with some delicious snacks. Really well priced too. Friendly staff and unpretentious. Loved it and will be coming back before we leave Moltrasio.
Family owned and run, this tiny cafe, close to the boat landing, was the Italy we were looking for. We had to use Google Translate (which worked well for us) and, having seen some portions being served were able to ask for half portions of spaghetti. The dish was perfect simple and delicious spaghetti, cherry tomatoes (both halved and diced) fresh basil, small balls of fresh mozzarella, olive oil and seasoning. I tried to replicate it at home but I think only true Italians can get it right and it must be served in a charming trattoria in Italy! We topped our meal off with gelato not made in house, but made locally with local ingredients from old recipes. We asked about the name The Old Lady and the co owner (Debhora Parravicini, who owns the cafe with her brother Marco) said it was an homage to their grandmother who started the business in 1940 as a small shop and bakery. We loved it. Had we not been leaving the next morning it would have been our go to again!
Cute little place, super desserts, especially the cakes! Good food, excellent beer, and cocktails.
