A family owned restaurant with very good and fresh fish. The starts are quite common but quality excellent. We had the famous caldeirada de linguas de bacalhau which was delicious. One portion serves very good for two persons. Service friendly and very professional (the youngest waiter still needs some training). Since this restaurant is very known localy it is advisable to book a table before you show up. Note: Does... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Messias:
We booked the New Years Lunch based on a past very good experience. The staff was not the same (and maybe of that) it was a very disaponting return. Cold, expensive and very simple dish. Cold ambient looking more like a cheap and vulgar road place. Strongly not recomended and myself most likely will not return. View all feedback.

Had the grilled dover sole. Perfectly done. It comes with boiled new potatoes and greens. The restaurant is out of the way but you can find it with GPS. 99% are locals. On a Sunday you need reservations. The fried squid was also very good. They are very knowledgeable about their fish, advising us which were aqua farmed and which were salt water caught. The wine selection is decent and extremely reasonable.
Located on a quarter on the neighboorhood of Moita a aplace to visit, with very good products, cozy ambiance and mostly dishes to enjoy. Sometimes it is sugested to boock in advance.
Today we had a great lunch at Messias the freshest of fish, grilled to perfection, they are specialists for sure, everything of the best quality at a very reasonable price, highly recommended. From Vasco da Gama A33 for Montijo,on to Moita, exit, right at first roundabout, pass Aldi supermarket, straight on at next roundabout for 1km,signposted,street on right....well worth finding!
