Isla Bonita - Mogán

Meme was friendly, funny and accommodating. Food is excellent and fairly priced. We dined there 7 times and always had a great time and good food.

First impression was good. Starter nachos were fine. We got enchiladas, the chicken was frozen chicken breast strips in a sauce wrapped in a tortilla with nothing else. The chicken was awful, I did not eat it and left it. The Spanish male waiter was lovely and also said other customers said the same today. The chinese woman whom I presume was the owner came and slammed the bill down and I said i would pay for everything expect the main I had. She started kicking off at me saying don 't come on holiday if you can 't afford and arguing with me saying I had eaten it when I left the full thing. Absolutely disgusting service and disgusting food. Apart from the nachos which were literally bagged tortilla chips with melted cheese on so you can 't go wrong with that. I personally would avoid at all costs.

Truly awful dining experience!! Husband ordered veggie burrito and it cam stuffed with Chinese veg…not a pepper to be seen but the waitress said this was ok cos it had a tortilla wrap round it!! We also ordered garlic mushrooms which also Chinese 5 spice had been used.I ordered a fillet steak which don’t think it was ever a fillet steak!! Horrible experience and the guy that stands outside should be ashamed of himself,getting people on holiday to spend cash in here. I will happily pay for good food and service. To make matters worse we didn’t even enjoy our drinks as it was cheap cola and vodka and it was disgusting!!!truly appalling.do not visit

When here for dinner a few months ago because was getting a little late 21.30) and after talking to the man at the front thought ok I’ll give it a go… BIG mistake… To be fair to them the garlic prawns where actually ok but here’s where the Real Story begins… I ordered a mixed kebab beef and chicken) and asked for the beef to be medium rare, when it arrived the beef was cooked medium rare but when I cut into the chicken it also was cooked medium rare! Bright Red with Blood everywhere coming out of it onto the plate! When I called the waiter over he went to get the manager Chinese lady) who then said it was my fault! But this could have been very serious as you must know chicken must be cooked thoroughly or you can get food poisoning. Why any chef would know this and cook the different meat cube’s on different skewers. It went away and came back dry but obviously by then I had lost my appetite… Then a while after the bill came to the table and they tried to charge us €25 service charge as it was New Year’s Eve but no one mentioned any of this to me as I sat down before ordering, as would have definitely not stayed. Most places it turns out were charging 15% which in all fairness isn’t too bad. I told the manager I wasn’t paying for my main and how it could have made seriously ill and again it was all my fault shouting at my in front of all other customers, she then said she would call the police! I left my payment my kebab) on the side next to the till and said that’s all I’m paying and started to walk off when she turned and screamed GET OUT GET OUT at us! Please read this and AVOID as was a terrible experience. This place is situated right toward the Rear of the shopping centre, Ground floor on the Left. On approach to the restaurant we were approached by a very enthusiastic man selling the restaurant very well and making us feel very welcome. The service for drinks and our main meal was prompt and efficient, the only problem was we waited at least 30 minutes after finishing our main mesl to be asked if we wanted desert. We both had the Steak Plank with different sauces, the Steak was cooked to perfection and the overall dish was divine. We then seemed to get forgotten as they just don't have enough staff working on the night. This restaurant would definitely get a five rating if they sorted the customer service because the food is extremely good.
