Contribute Feedback What Guiseppe Karl doesn't like about El Abanico Bar de Tapas:
The tapas are tastefully average and unfortunately also definitely not everything is done. The dessert was really sober and the service made it much worse. We had hoped for more! View all feedback.
Recently very unfriendly and inflexible. The shop was empty up to 4 people at a table, but the coupon book was rejected with reference to previous reservations, although we have already been accepted several times by the previous owner/operator) without any problems and without reservation with or without a coupon book) and had already recommended several acquaintances the restaurant. So not, this was our last visit, of course, without eating anything) , finally there are several Spanish localities in and around Mönchengladbach, where you feel welcome as a guest. Too bad, never again, no recommendation.
Too bad... we had presented ourselves the pork medallions, wrapped in Seranoschinken for 16.90 Euro with Riojasoße a bit more lush: Only three small medallions wrapped in ham... Even we as a small eater weren't almost fed up. The associated film potato had a much too small Kleck's herbal butter. On my demand, I also received 4 small cups for 2.90 euros, with an additional foil potato with herbal butter cost only 2.50 euros!! The very nice service couldn't explain this to us either. After 35 years of Spain vacation I know how Rioja tastes. The Riojas sauce of the medallions (mir) tasted not to Rioja but rather to Balsamiko. That didn't match the medallions! For the 0.5 l wine, 9.50 euros were initially charged. After a note on my side, then corrected to 8.50. The very nice operation meant that it was probably incorrectly stored. OK and apparently never corrected. Maybe you should eat tapas in a tapas bar? The crema catalana was lukewarm, as we like it most! Really delicious! On our praise in this respect we were told that they usually come from the refrigerator and only because they were freshly prepared was still warm tastes are quite different. Unfortunately no weier recommendation!

It is a very family friendly place. We had the mixed tapa maker as an appetizer and then a perfect steak as a main dish. As a supplement to Patatas Bravas and finally Crema Catalana. The whole family is thrilled! All very friendly and the restaurant is very family. Although the situation is not very central, it must be visited again and again after the first time! The learned cook knows his craft. It is Argentinean and grills the steaks like in Argentina. It has a beautiful courtyard. Very Mediterranean. Unfortunately it has been too cold so far, but we look forward to the summer! But until then we will often come! Thank you for the beautiful time!
There is a nice selection of tapas here. Operation is very noticeable. We haven't tried Paella yet, at the next visit. we like to come back!
