I... read more On Dec 23rd 2022, my husband and I dined at Turfside Bistro Moe. The young staff were very polite and caring. However, our meals were a total disappointment. I ordered Mango, avocado and prawn salad. Given mangoes are in season and are plentiful serving bottled mangoes were not nice, prawns were cooked in a light batter- pleasant to eat until I was eating shells in each prawn. Then, avocado was brown- I removed each slice of avocado placed them on a plate and spoke with a staff member. She apologised and asked me if I would like some more, to which I replied with “ yes, please”. A few minutes later the staff member returned telling me that a fresh avocado was sliced and it to was brown. The chef told her to tell me that it was OK to eat brown avocado. I informed the staff member that a brown avocado was past its use by date! My husband had a pasta dish which was just mediocre. Sadly, we would never dine there again.

Despite being packed with both large groups and individual diners, the service was excellent and welcoming to newcomers. The food was delicious and surprisingly, there were no delays in receiving our meals despite the busy atmosphere.

The atmosphere is pleasant, not too noisy, providing a great dining experience.

The fish used to be excellent, but since they... read more The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, but the quality of the food varies depending on the night and the cook. The fish used to be excellent, but since they changed to Barramundi, it has become unbearable to eat due to a strong smell and unpleasant taste. Despite giving it three chances, the fish remains disappointing. The calamari is consistently good, the pasta carbonara is decent, the schnitzel is tasty, and the steak's quality depends on the chef. The staff are always friendly and professional, providing good service. Overall, we visit this restaurant 2 to 3 times a week.
