The sandwiches were delicious and well made. Unfortunately we ordered online for pickup, and when we got home with our order we realized one of our sandwiches wasn't correct, we asked for no pickles or mustard. There were pickles and mustard. That person didn't get lunch, $11 wasted. There is no way to contact the store and get it fixed. View all feedback.

I will never come back here, at least not this place
First, your sandwiches are not close to the picture they show. The onions are tender and coarse. Tomatoes and salads are not much better. They call and ask if the onions are good today, they tell you they are fresh, but they are not. Bread is usually a bit dry. I wish I could give a better review, but they would have to produce better and actually more than just a few small pieces of meat. If you have the sandwiches of the pictures you show this review would be great.

I 've only ever had the hot pastrami on Dutch crunch bread. It 's great. Basically the highlight of the place is that Dutch crunch bread. It 's a medium firm bread with an extra crunchy crust (see photo). Adding that bread and getting everything on the sandwich definitely creates a signature meal, not just another everyday sandwich. So definitely try it out. The place itself is a tiny storefront with minimal provisions to dine in, so you probably won 't want to eat there and definitely won 't want to stay at all if you have a group over 4 people. There 's generally a line crowding the interior... So yeah, take it to go if you have any type of group. Prices are not terrible for what you get. You 'll end up paying $10 for a full size sandwich which will be good enough for one meal. Some people can get two full meals out of one but that 's not me. So if you 're an eater at all, you 're getting one $10 meal. The service is fine. I 've never waited more than a few minutes to get a hot sandwich. The pace in the place is quick so figure out what you want and just order it. Don 't be the problem person cramping up the line with some crazy custom order ? Plenty of parking in that shopping center. Overall good place. Always a place to hit while in Modesto.
BELOW Average DEFINITELY WILL NOT BACK. Wife and I had an afternoon together and decided to eat for lunch. There were some other (tested and true) comparable options and chose Mr. Pickles on Oakdale Road, Modesto. wife had never been there; I had, but it was a while. What a disappointment. Especially no din available. They had removed all the chairs and tables. No well drinks only $2 $3 not very cold bottles drinks and a very minimal selection of these. Very loud environment due to its ongoing Covid practices; everyone still masked with Plexiglas barriers makes it almost impossible to hear each other while exchanging order information on the counter. I ordered a big sandwich and as offered various regularly occurring sandwich toppings and say yes, and thank you I was informed that they all add ons, at an additional cost, and for an already overpriced, smaller than average large sandwich. The sandwich was really scrupulous and bland... totally underestimated. And finally the free cookie. Lol. The free cookie was about the size of an oreo and the consistency of a well made bisquit and about the same color brown. This sandwich shop is compared to Togos, Quiznos and Subway, not to mention the Mom Pop type shops where the premimiun placed on quality. I can do without the awake atmosphere. Covid has done enough UNNECESSAR damage.... I will not protect a place that still unnecessarily embraces it, but does not even have the service and quality to secure the inconvenience they impose on the customer.
