Messaged via instagram to follow up got no response. Went to restaurant tonight and door was locked at 7:50pm despite Google saying that they were open everything looked dark inside so we left.

Some dishes mis... read more This place has amazing potential. The service was great and the room beautiful. The kitchen seemed a bit young or with a less experienced staff. Some dishes miss the balance in acidity and flavor. My fillet was rushed, undercooked and was not allowed to rest so it resulted in mediocrity. I would love to watch this place grow into something special with all the history it brings.

It has... read more Piazza Roma, Palazzo Ducale, in the heart of Modena's city center. A restaurant frozen in time, a nostalgic dive into a grand, elegant and refined past. It has some incredible gems. That's why I love it. The food is good, a classic of Modena tradition. Prices are average, in line with other restaurants in the area. All the celebrities of the past have passed through there. I'm a nostalgic. It was subjected to a negative media frenzy due to a video of a probationary employee. I disagree with some of the extremely negative reviews.

Truly cozy and romantic environment with live music (piano and violin) in the background (rent by the restaurant). Delicious dishes both classical of the region/city as well as innovate. The service was truly gentle. Definitely recommended!

Because it was August I thought most staff went on for vacat... read more We visited at 6:30pm just like it saids on the google map. They said it opens on 8:00pm for dinner. Because it was August I thought most staff went on for vacation so they were short handed. . . But when it came to the coppa oreste I was speechless. . . It's signature dish should be with cherry on the top. But waiter was only saying amarena finished. . . And he disapeared. .. I immediately took out 2stars. . . The food was OK but there were only 2 wait staffs inside and out for more than 10 tables. It was clear that owner didn't care about it but cost cutting. Slow service couln't get any better with not enough wait staffs like in many other reviews said, Once it was fine dinning but now it became local food outlet.
