We came upon this bar having been almost put off lunch by a nearby eat all you can random buffet. Bar Mana has a limited menu and had sold out of about half of the choices by the time we arrived. That was ok as they still had stuffed courgette flowers and a tuna carpaccio, which suited us. The courgette flowers were stuffed with ricotta and served in a tasty tomato sauce. The tuna had sesame seeds around the edge and... View all feedback.
What simonarossin08 doesn't like about Bar Aperitif Mana':
Everyone is just so rude and in search of money! They would not let me seat just because I had not bought anything, even though my friends had. Moreover, a simple coffee costs 1.50 €. I'm not going there again. View all feedback.
A few really well made dishes and a really excellent wine card! great as lunch break and aperitif. outdoor space.
In the heart of modena, in a cross near the cathedral, there is the mana, informal place, well-kept and a beautiful dehor. excellent quality of cocktails, personally friendly with just smiles
Quaint small restaurant with great food. We were the only foreigners there so that’s My stamp of approval.
I had a very good evening at Bar Mana in Modena this evening. I was eating alone and had a nice welcome from the front of house waiter and a delicious meal, beautifully cooked. Sadly leaving tomorrow otherwise I would certainly have gone there again.
Four of us happened upon this charming place for lunch while spending the day in Modena. The food is delicious and has a contemporary edge and the plating is beautiful. I had the beef tartare which came with some friend shallots, a lovely house made mayonnaise golden with egg yolk and milky soft cheese of some kind delicious. My partner had the creamed cod which was served with olives, candied onions, and popcorn sounds a bit odd but in my book was the star dish of the meal perfect in every way. One of our friends had the pork cheeks on puréed celeriac the pork cheeks were so tender she cut them with a fork and declared them wonderful. Her husband at the assorted meats and it was beautiful and full of salami, prosciutto and mortadella perfect for a meat lover. Service was friendly and very helpful. We asked for a recommendation for a localish dry white wine. He recommended a bottle of Eugale Pagadebit a wine made with a rarely used grape. It was refreshing and complimented the food perfectly and very affordable at less than 20 euros. Great meal and I will definitely come back on my next trip to Modena.
