Reviews summary
Nestled in a vibrant neighborhood, Post offers a mix of experiences that evoke both delight and frustration among guests. While the atmosphere is often praised for its swanky decor and lively music, service quality can vary dramatically. Many patrons rave about the delicious cocktails and enticing charcuterie boards, particularly enjoying the outdoor seating. However, consistency in service has raised concerns, with instances of inattentiveness and overly strict policies on private events. Despite some negative encounters, the restaurant's unique drinks and enjoyable ambiance leave an impression, indicating that it may be worth another visit for those seeking a lively outing.

Great atmosphere. The drinks were amazing. Half off appetizers for happy hour. I'll be returning.
We tried to come here once before and they were packed. This time we arrived early on a Friday, right after they opened. The bartenders were very friendly and we talked to them about the area while they made us some delicious cocktails. We would gladly come here again, but maybe not if they were super crowded, because I liked the laid back, not busy vibe. They have outdoor seating areas in the front and back, as well as a room off to the side that looked like you could spread out. So I could also see snagging one of those areas and hanging out with friends on a nice day.
Went here for a business meeting last week. Very nice folks and very clean bathrooms. Great selection of drinks. Definitely recommended.
Apparently the kitchen closes 3 hours before the place closes. So if you're looking for food after 9 pm this is not the place. Cocktails seem legit, if you're a friend or regular. If you walk in expect standoffish vibes, and mediocre service. Definitely don't recommend for visitors to downtown Mobile.
We rented this place for a bridal shower and was not aware children would not be allowed. Now don’t get me wrong, I understand this place is a “bar” but when you rent out a private room for an event at 2pm during the day, you would think your family would be allowed to come in. My sister drove an hour with her 2 children (7 month old a 6 year old). As soon as we walked in, they kicked her and the kids out. Annoying, but we weren’t going to let it ruin our day. So we took turns standing outside with the babies as it was still a pretty day and felt good outside. The 6 year old needed to go potty, so I go inside and ask the bar tender if she can at least use the restroom. Without hesitation, his answer was no. When I asked where he would like the child to use the bathroom, he told me we could walk a couple doors down to Wintzells. Literally blows my mind. Like I said, I understand that it is technically a bar. But it was a private event (that we paid for) on a chill Saturday afternoon. Post definitely needs to disclose that before renting out the space. Aside from them being jerks over the children, I wasn’t all that impressed with the venue anyways. The room for the party was extremely small, we were pretty crammed in there. The bathrooms were also in the event room, so it was awkward when customers kept coming in and out of our event to use the bathrooms. They also would not lend us another table when we asked for one. Overall terrible customer service mediocre venue.

I had been eager to visit Post for years after seeing their enticing photos of delicious charcuterie boards and cocktails. Finally, I had the opportunity to go. However, upon arrival, a waitress immediately asked for my ID without taking a drink order and claimed it was expired, despite it being valid until 2025. She then rudely insisted that I leave, despite there being only a few other customers in the place. It turned out to be a loud and rowdy college bar on the weekends. If you're looking for a relaxed bar atmosphere, I would recommend checking out The Outsider or any breweries in the downtown area instead of Post.
I had a fantastic time at the Drag Brunch! The food, drinks, and service were all amazing. They made sure the champagne was always flowing. I will definitely be returning in the future.
I forgot the bartenders name but definitely the best Moscow Mule I've ever had. Will definitely be back!
Cozy vibes posh ambience inside! So many expertly crafted cocktails definitely something for everyone. In case you’re looking for non alcoholic options, try a Moscow Mule mocktail and keep the party going!

My first time in the establishment and the service from my waitress was terrible. It took her some time to come to the table to greet me. She brought me water, sat it on the table and walked away without saying anything. She went behind the bar and afterabout 10 minutes, she asked me if I had decided on food, from behind the bar. She said she couldn?t hear me, then asked anotherwaitress to start my order. She brought my drink sat it on the table and walked away and never addressed me. Needless to saythe service I received was poor, the food was good, but I will not be a returning customer?and yes I tipped her anyway.
Great spot to have drinks! Giving 4 stars just because they don?t serve food but apart from it, great place. They have sone own crafted cocktails along with classics and beers and wine too. We had old majestic brewing company reflection ipa and the craftcocktails at Francis. The craft cocktails is what that place is famous for, a little more sour than we expected but still good.Great decorations and theme based on post office postal boxes. So overall a great place to grab drinks and have a good time.
Swanky place for some POST.. get it? Cocktails after dinner. Finally got to stop in and try some. Nice atmosphere, good drinks, and Great aesthetics. Would definitely come back and have some more only had a few, an old fashioned, an expresso martini andShe had the St. Francis. All in all a good spot.
