Outstanding first time meal at this local restaurant that has been in business for 40 years. The owner is super friendly and the food is excellent. Definitely start with the hummus. Best I have ever eaten. I tried the Persian kabobs with rice and grilled vegetables. The servings are nice size and the prices are very good for meal of this caliber. Finished off with a delicious piece of baklava. Highly recommend View all feedback.
What Greg Smith doesn't like about Abba's Mediterranean Café:
After reading a number of positive reviews my wife and I stopped in for lunch today while traveling through Mobile. When we pulled up I noted a neon Open sign in the window that was off and wondered if they were closed today. Since I 'd driven out of my way I walked up to the door and found they were in fact open and had an empty dining room aside from a single party of three. We had the Greek salad and a gyro. Both... The food is absolutely amazing. Never had anything quite like it. Everything is made fresh with organic ingredients. Recipes are unique. Service is personalized, chef came out to greet us. The place is a little old, but that doesn’t matter. Highly recommend the Sammy’s Lamb and the hummus! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
We typically dine at lunch. The owner is very welcoming and attentive. The food is excellent; the prices are always reasonable. We are never rushed.
Wonderful food! Everything was made fresh and delicious. My daughter has many food allergies and they made sure to prepare her food safe. There are gluten free and dairy free options. Dietary restrictions: Many of the menu items are gluten free and dairy free. They will modify items to make sure allergens are avoided.
Fresh and high quality ingredients! Will definitely be back! Cozy atmosphere, everyone is so nice and welcoming!

Since I 'd driven out of my way I walked up to the door and found they were in fact open and had an empty dining room aside from a single party of three. We had the Greek salad and a gyro. Both were okay at best while dining however the gyro generated some serious regret later in the day. The iced tea was undrinkable even after trying some sweetener. The place was literally falling down around us especially the ceiling. I was so hopeful but now am just disappointed.
