Gaststatte Restaurant - Romerschanz

For our final night at Mittenwald we reserved a table at this restaurant and we weren't disappointed. The service is brilliant, the food is gorgeous and the wooden interior is very traditional and authentic. This restaurant has loads of nic nacs and interesting artifacts.

Had an evening meal here. We hadn't booked a table so had to wait a couple of minutes and shared a table with an other couple. And it was brilliant! The food was amazing and the "sharing" couple a sheer delight. I loved everything here, the company, the whole atmosphere, the decor - it would be hard to find better!

We had two wonderful dishes. Schnitzel with strawberries and asparagus filled noodles. Tipped out off with an iced coffee dessert.

We went to this place while on our honeymoon on the 20th of May. The food was the best we had while on our little European tour also one of our favorite stops. The waiter was one of the most hospitable people we encountered as well. They seemed to be booked up for the night so we were seated with another couple. Worked out great. I would recommend a reservation for busier times as this place seemed to be one you enjoyed for awhile. It started to rain at the end of dinner and the waiter recommended we stay a little longer and provided a little schnapps as we waited. Would recommend to anyone!!

We have eaten at this awesome restaurant for many years now. The food is just really fantastic and the food is as good as anything we have eaten in Europe. This restaurant has both traditional German dishes, as well as very high quality and innovative pasta dishes. The prices are very good value The owner/chef is absolutely helpful and really welcoming. We just cannot say enough good things about this Restaurant. Also, we cannot wait to eat here again next year!
