Deponie Nr.3 - Mitte

It was a very nice evening in a quiet place in a very beautiful old ambience. Super service, delicious food at a good price.

We love this place and hospitality was awesome. My wife and I had such a lovely time here. The service is great. The food is great. The drinks are great. Something about this place is different. It looks refreshingly different from different angles and we definitely lost track of our time there. Our visit at this time was totally unplanned but not any future visits, as we will be looking forward spending more of our evenings here this year.

I'll take the S-Bahn. the ambient light, the location nr. 3 is located in the S-Bahn trains in the georgenstraße in Berlin-Mitte. the combated cellar is rustic. dark brown bare wooden tables, many pictures on the walls, old signs, dark brown wood railings as space dividers spread the flair a hundred years ago. also the beer garden situated behind the dining room reminds of past times with its beer garden typical tables and chairs. the service fast, I am served not only super friendly, rather dry routine. the service personnel does his work, no more, no less. shortly after the menu is then also the ordered half book beer on the table. the menu offers a strong german-berlin cuisine. besides suppening, salad plates and cheese are ready to satisfy the small starving, roaring, schusterjungen with resinous cheese and tuner max, while sattmacher like ice cream with acid spice and kartoffel pureeee, carving with different supplements or a huge flower cauli should not allow the great starving chance. for fish enthusiasts is also provided: salmon, haslzander and matjesfilets. and vegetarians also have a small selection. I decide to eat for a tomaten soup (3,80 € as an appetizer and noble matjesfilets from the north German family farm with apple twist sash and bratkartoffeln for 9,50 € as a main dish. the tomaten soup doesn't wait long. but on the first spoon gives the tonge disappointment: the suppe tends to be lukewarm. she's not hot anyway. it has different temperature ranges, outside cool, inside warm. there is probably a warm suppe landing in a cold cup. it is as pale as if it had been kept warm for hours. this impression is reinforced by the few soft-cooked inlaid noodles. There's a lot of air up here. the matjesfilets are delicate and tasty, still very slightly salty, also look good. also the apple twist shadow tastes very good and like “for mothers”. the bratkartoffels are also o.k, in contrast to the salate, which would have been dressed for longer due to its quite muddy condition and for its consumption. the cleanliness of local and agricultural management are well maintained and clean, all above. the price/performance ratio here I do not estimate higher than the above. the conclusion (3,2 stars the suppe deserves no more than two stars, the salat also not. the matjesfilets and the narrow are good, the bratkartoffeln o.k therefore I score with three stars to eat. my four stars for the ambiente change nothing to the three stars with a slight inclination to their four as a total assessment due to the three stars for operation, cleanliness and price/performance ratio. yes, and what I read on the bill: service not included. not so an English-speaking note animates to give a drink, but convincing performance.

My God. I've been dreaming about returning for four years. Dark beer. A huge plate of pig. With sauerkraut and mustard. I came back. Thank you. Thank you.
