Wonderful place with friendly staff and a great menu. We had cashews and squid for Entree, the squid was fabulous! For mains we had a pizza and spaghetti marinara, both were good but not fantastic like the squid. Overall a great night out. Dean, the owner/manager greeted us with honest exuberance and checked on us with perfect timing that only comes from many years of restaurant experience. Comfortable, cozy and gently rustic, the natural timber and brick create a beautiful and enchanting ambiance that enhance every moment of your meal. Each meal was created with the culinary passion and the thoughtful understanding of deep, intense concentrated flavours that will keep you in awe with every taste. The chilly and damp weather outside helped to simplify our meal decision. The Tradition Beef Bourguignon is a perfectly adapted and flavourful interpretation of the classic French dish. The Chef starts by marinading the generous beef chunks in rich red wine so that the flavours enrich every portion, deeply and completely. A wood fire imparted an amazing aroma and essence to the Lamb Shoulder. Its savoury beauty was accentuated with sweet and crisp chips of thinly sliced fried beetroot teamed with the creamy smoothness of tangy goat cheese. It was rich and it’s flavours were splendidly developed with time and great attention, making this a dish that will surely be worth having again. No meal is complete without a sweet conclusion. This happy ending was in the form of an amazingly creative and delicately balanced Wood fired apple Tarte Tatin combined with apple tree honey gelato. It, like the rest of the meal was faultlessly memorable. Ben, the chef, has created an amazing and enjoyable experience with every amazing morsel. The Fire Drum is an exceptional value, it is worth every cent for its perfect execution of every hearty, flavourfully filling and lovingly created culinary masterpiece. #flavourgasm

A lovely restaurant with great service, food and drinks. The cocktails were delicious, the blackened beef ribs were mouth watering and perfectly cooked and the desserts divine. Thanks for a great dining experience. Atmosphere was great too. We enjoyed the fire drum before dining and then welcomed the comfort of the indoor dining area for our meals.
I recommend this restaurant to everyone. We went on a Saturday night and it was packed. And instead of turning us away, the owner made an effort to ensure we had somewhere to sit. And of course there wine and food were superb! Please support this business! I love when owners actually get their hands and feet dirty.
My wife and I were very impressed with this restaurant. Service was attentive and professional, food was delicious and perfectly cooked. We would come back here any time!
