Th... read more I'm amazed by this little tavern! Do not expect them to speak perfect English, it is the place where the locals go to see how people know the menu of hearts. The variety of medze and fresh fish is wonderful not everything on the menu, so ask. We had fish with green vegetables amazingly baked! fried Calamari it was the lightest fried food I ever had!, a plate of Fuskes/wild muscles / fresh clams délicatesse! , fried zucchini flowers with cheese super delicious, fava beans loved it! marinated anchovies delicious! all accompanied with very good white wine. The price is great and I propose to go there on the previous page, it will be busy quickly. It's just one of my top 3 restaurants! hevent got many photos, the food was more important

D... read more One of the best fish taverns on the island of Mytilene. It is one of the few fish taverns that remains open all year round. It is also very visited by locals. Directly opposite the public car park in the center of the city of Mytilene, one cannot say that it has a beautiful view, but the kitchen and the freshness of its plates pays up to the maximum! I often visit Mytilene either for vacation or for business purposes. I choose Apagkio every time because I love fish and how they grill it. This time I had kydonia cockles and other shellfish with steamed wild local green, a quarter whole wheat bread grilled with olive oil and oregano and a glass of local ouzo. All this would be enough to feed two people and I only had to pay €12.5! Desert is always on the house and it is seasonal. Between Greek yogurt with cherries and Halva I chose Halva: fabulously amazing! Service is excellent and I also had a special treatment because I had only limited time on my flight time. UPDATE: WHEN WE WENT IN FOR DINNER, OUR OLD UNCLE DID NOT LET US IN WITH HIS SPEAKING STYLE THAT WAS NOT PLEASANT, EVEN THOUGH HE WAS A CUSTOMER! FROM WHERE ? WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HE ACTED LIKE THIS.
