Tavern 36 - Mitchellville
Tavern 36
Description
Nestled as a cozy small-town tavern, this inviting spot wins praise for generous portions, standout Taco Tuesday specials, a beer garden and family-friendly menu (homemade chicken strips, smothered fries). Regulars applaud upbeat servers like Jenna and convivial, clean surroundings. However, experiences vary: guests report long waits, order errors, occasional overcooked or greasy dishes and at least one upsetting episode of rude or discriminatory behavior. If you're seeking casual local hospitality and big portions, it's worth a visit — but expect inconsistent service and order accuracy on busy nights.

Jenna is definitely the reason this place thrives! Her positive attitude and sweetness make all the difference. I highly recommend visiting only when she's working, as her energy truly enhances the experience!

PASSING THROUGH. NICE PLACE TO STOP FOR A BITE. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My wife and I ate at Team 36 yesterday and found it definitely needed tidying up. I ordered a Santa Fe Burger which was overdone with a greasy bun. I had a salad which was delicious. My wife ordered Chicken Strip Basket which was very lacking. The sweet potatoes fries were not done and chicken was poorly done chunks of chicken.
First time here since management/ownership changed. Came for the first Bike Night. It took a while to get a server, but after a 10-15 minute wait, the server that I did have was very helpful and attentive. I had a Patty Melt with Sweet Potato Fries which was very good. Food took a while to come out, but to be fair, they were busy, and I really wasn't in any hurry. Menu had changed some and had been updated. They kept some of the signature dishes, and added some new one's. Pizza options were limited. Overall pretty good. Obviously still need to work a few things out, but that comes with time.
