When coming In the lady behind the desk rubbed us the wrong way as I asked her what flavors of lattes they have and she immediately corrected me and called it sweetners wich is 100% ok but after that she seemed to rush us as we were trying to figure out what else we wanted to eat or drink. We went on our way sat down and waited, the environment was great until she practically dropped the plates of in front of us and said here you go... it was abrupt as my partner and I were holding hands and I found it rude personally. Immediately after she was aggressively cleaning tables slamming chairs around while glaring at us. My Fiancee and I were just so taken aback as we were trying to figure out what we did during the rest of are stay. I believe the girl switched out with a different lady after us and she was beyond amazing to everyone who came in after us and it makes us happy that others didn't receive the same treatment. I understand having a bad day completely but it just felt targeted.

The food was great, but all the comments about the cold, impersonal service are dead on. No smile, please, thank you, nothing. The pork nachos are to die for, but I'm not paying anyone to snub me.

Usually the food is excellent, but the omelet was excessively greasy this time. Service was also poor—there were four staff members working, few customers, yet we didn’t receive our drinks until more than halfway through the meal. Many employees were just standing around chatting. Koinonia Kafe has been my go-to spot whenever I visit Mitchell, but this experience was very disappointing!
