While passing through Mitchell on the way to Glacier National Park, we stopped for gas and decided to have lunch at a local spot called Hungry Dog. We were not disappointed with our choice. Their menu is filled with options, mostly hot dogs and hamburgers. My son and I decided to try the hot dogs, since after all the name of the restaurant is Hungry Dog. My son ordered the Hungry Dog with fries, while I opted for the Chicago hot dog and a large chocolate milkshake. The hot dogs were delicious – the Hungry Dog was so big that my son had to eat it with a fork, and the fries were hot and crispy. My Chicago hot dog was grilled to perfection and beautifully topped. The chocolate shake was rich and creamy. If we ever find ourselves passing through Mitchell in the future, we will definitely stop by Hungry Dog again. Highly recommend trying it out!
If you find yourself passing through the Corn Palace or the town of Mitchell, make sure to check out this restaurant. It's conveniently located near the interstate, making it a great stop for those traveling along I-90. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the mac n cheese and cheese curds were. The cheese curds were perfectly seasoned, with a crispy exterior and creamy interior. The mac n cheese on the hot dog was also creamy and fresh, elevating the dish to a whole new level. This place offers more than just your average hot dogs - they also have a variety of burgers to choose from. I was impressed by the large seating area both indoors and outdoors. Our food arrived quickly and we were very satisfied with our meal. Definitely worth a visit!
While on vacation, we visited the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota. Feeling hungry, we originally planned on getting hot dogs but ended up trying the homemade onion rings instead. They were amazing! There are also many other delicious options on the menu besides hot dogs. I personally enjoyed the flavorful chicken sandwich.
I had bought the texas tangler burger and the fried pickel with ranch. holy deliciousness. the burger himself was good, but the beats are what made it the next level. the cajun mayo loved. friendly staff. must definitely be the next time I travel through Mitchell and try more menu points.
We drove on a road trip through mitchell and were around the midday in the city. sought to eat places and saw this as an option and gave him a chance based on the reviews. this place was so good. fun. the employees were really nice and helpful and the service was fast. we ate under one of the tables with the umbrella and were very comfortable. everything was clean. I'm sorry we're not closer to this place because I could see that we're going here regularly. definitely recommend when they visit in the city and give this place a try.
