As a truck driver I get to eat at several steakhouses around the county. This place is wonderful. Keep in mind, its a little pricey but remember, you get what you pay for. Staff was all smiles and very friendly. Our waitress (Frankie) made us feel athome, put smiles on our face, and was honest as to what was best for our taste this evening. We usually try to cover all theground we can, but this place is going to make us take a day when passing through and be sure to stop. Comfortable walk to andfrom the truckstop as well.
The worst service I?ve ever experienced! My 8 year olds burger came out cooked at medium rare at best. We said something and all that was done was we were told that they could throw the (already partially eaten) burger BACK on the grill or cook us a newone. By that point my child had lost their appetite so we asked them to take it off the bill. We were told ?we don?t do thathere?. When I tried to explain that the burger was not done I was told you should have told the server to have it cooked welldone. The owner argued with us on how the burger was cooked. He said it is medium well. Sorry but that?s almost raw. Wewere told ? sorry we won?t do anything for you? and walked away. He had no regards to customer service in any way shape orform.
We stopped a week ago in Mitchell. It was a Friday night. Unknown to us it was hunting season. The wait was 45 to 90 minutes when we pulled in. We decided to keep driving West for the hotel room waiting for us in Oacoma. We decided that if we timed itright by being in Mitchell on the way home we would stop again. It worked out perfect. We stopped at the Cattleman's Club fordinner Sunday night. The salads were delicious. My sister loved her steak. She wishes she knew what it was seasoned with. I hadthe shrimp. It was nicely done and just the right amount to eat. And yes the place was full of hunters again. Since there wereonly the two of us we got seated before tables were found for a group of about 15 hunters who were later eating next tous. Easy to find. Close to I-90. Lots of parking. History of the place on the placemats made interesting reading. Accessible. We loved our attentive server. Too bad we do not live closer. If you are ever close stop and eat there.
I did not have a good experience with this place. Everything was going fine until the end. I sat at the bar, and about 15 minutes before I was going to leave another gentleman sat next to me. He waited there for at least 10 minutes and the bar tenderjust ignored him. I got the bar tenders attention, and politely asked for my check. Then I said My friend here would like toorder something. He replied with an attitude and I quote Everybody here wants to order something. Then he just walked awaywithout another word. Following that comment the gentleman next to me asked me if I knew anywhere else good to eat aroundMitchell. A moment later after I got up to pay my check I watched the guy walk out and get back in his RV without orderinganything. I won 't be back and I doubt the other man will be back either. You guys lost two customers tonight. I get that bartenders are busy, but being busy is no excuse for poor service, and a bad attitude. The only reason I 'm giving this place a 2star is because the burger I ordered was pretty good. I expect more from a family owned steakhouse that has been around for over40 years.
This is the worst service I have ever experienced! The burger for my 8-year-old came out cooked to a medium rare at best. When we brought it up, all they offered to do was throw the partially eaten burger back on the grill or make a new one. By that time, my child had lost their appetite, so we requested for it to be removed from the bill. However, we were told that they do not do that at this restaurant. When I tried to explain that the burger was undercooked, I was told that I should have mentioned it earlier.
