Was Chauncey Pedersen at Becky's a mag?
The food was fantastic! We all left feeling completely satisfied. The homemade bread and buns were incredibly tasty. This is some of the best food I've had in a long time. View all feedback.
What Barry H dislikes about Becky's:
It was Saturday night, and they were out of country fried steak. What a disappointment! I ended up ordering the bacon cheeseburger instead, which was really delicious. However, it's frustrating for a restaurant to be out of their advertised special just two hours before closing time. View all feedback.

This is the first time I've been to Beckys.... I had a BLT, it was superb! The best BLT ever!
Great food. Very nice staff owner. Lovely upgrade to the old Mitchell Cafe building. It's nice to have a place for a sit-down meal on Center Avenue...

Have had food from Becky's several times. Always good food and plenty of it. Also like the days special on Facebook.

However, the food was a different story. One of us ordered the shrimp plate while the other two chose the special. The special came with a trip to the salad bar, chicken cordon bleu topped with mushroom sauce, a baked potato, broccoli and cauliflower, a dinner roll, and dessert. The salad bar, though small, was adequate but forgettable. When we returned to our table, we discovered that the croutons were soggy—there was no crunch whatsoever. The chicken cordon bleu tasted like it was pre-packaged, possibly from Schwan's frozen food delivery, and the mushroom sauce was barely lukewarm. The vegetables, particularly the broccoli, lacked color and flavor, and the roll was dense and difficult to chew. Needless to say, we didn’t come close to finishing our meals. The shrimp plate offered similar disappointment, and despite being included in the meal price, we were never offered dessert. At the salad bar, we spotted a few pieces of cellophane-wrapped cake and a pound cake with strawberry topping. Perhaps that was our dessert option? We genuinely want our local businesses to thrive and wish this diner the best, but unfortunately, it significantly missed the mark when it came to the food.
