So far, this wine store has the best wine variety in Adelaide. You can find really good european and australian wine and prices are fair. They still struggle with South American ones so it's hard to find anything that is worth, but I guess not a lot of people are looking for that when you live in SA, right? Also, they offer discounts for students! What Danika Gerlach doesn't like about The Edinburgh Hotel:
Service, approach to customer and food terrible The way they segregate people was shocking to me. People turn back because of the owner rule to not let them in based on his medical knowledge and ability to say what people need for their health....Joke. Shame and embarrassment. Will not go back there. View all feedback.
Went for a mid week catch up with a friend, atmosphere was relaxed, service was good & attentive, but We waited just over 50 minutes for two mains, it wasn't very busy & my chicken was warm when it arrived, asked for a side of green vegetables but was told they didn't have any, not really good enough in my opinion!
We visited this hotel for a catch up with friends. We ended up staying for dinner and we weren't disappointed. Worth a visit.
We often visit the Ed as it's a convenient halfway spot for family get togethers. The menu changes with the seasons and there is always something to please everyone. Whether you're seated inside or out, it's always comfortable, even in the middle of winter.
Went for Sunday lunch and enjoyed a pub meal in pleasant surroundings. All the usuals on the menu with some daily specials at prices to suit all budgets. Wine by the glass quite expensive.Plenty off-street parking. Disappointing to see that some staff were not appropriately attired; we were greeted by a waiter wearing black shorts which were not perfectly clean and one of the waitresses was wearing an extremely short, cut-off skirt with dangling threads which was not a good look.
Visited here today for lunch with family. It was my first time there. Whilst the parking and location is easy to access, it's a bit of a rabbit warren when it comes to layout. The food was good but no better than a lot of other pub fare in Adelaide. The service was average, we had to ask for drinks several times. And to top it all off our waitress was wearing a rather short skirt which I felt was inappropriate service attire. However, the kicker was glancing towards the bar and seeing a member of the wait staff trying to open the foil on a bottle of champers with her teeth, WTF?
